We are pleased to present to you the International Website for Professional Homeopathy, IWPH. This internet portal is an already existent webpage for professional homeopathic associations. It aims at incorporating as many organisations as possible to establish a broad international communication platform.
We would like to provide you with some important details about this project.

Further information:
Based on the initiative of the national homeopathic associations in Switzerland (SVHA) and Germany (DZVhÄ), this website has been online since Summer 2003. It is designed in a way, however, that it may be used by any association striving for its own web performance. Thus, small-scale medical associations operating on low budgets will also get the chance to present themselves on the internet in their own national language and to make use of this modern means of communication. Compared to a usual website, a portal offers substantially more and distinguished possibilities with regard to information, communication and membership administration.
It is one of the great advantages of this web portal that users do not require any html or special software knowledge. Reports/articles can be transferred directly from a word processing file into the Net.
The portal consists of several sections: Information, Search Function, Discussion Forum, Calendar of Events, Membership administration, Classifieds, Bookshop:
1. Information for all internet visitors:
Everything about homeopathy
Information for the members of national associations in a closed, password protected section: In this section, you will find all information for association members. Information no longer up-to-date can be filed in an archive.
2. Search function for homeopathic practitioners:
In this section, you can search for homeopathic practitioners according to location/postal code, specialization, and other search criteria.
Search function for training courses, events, seminars: In this section, you can make an international search according to language, location, date, lecturer, etc. The relevant lecturers and organizers can feed in the relevant data themselves at any time from any place. All the administrator has to do is to activate the data.
Search function for books, magazines: The association determines a bookseller who can list and sell his books in this section. You can search according to various criteria.
Search function for different disease pattern/clinical pictures in the password-protected section: In this section, the portal users can present clinical pictures, drugs and drug studies or make a search according to specific phrases. A thesaurus allows for searching in different languages.
3. Discussion forum in the password-protected section:
In this section, you can put to discussion as many topics as you like. Each member of the association can write his/her comments online, i.e. directly into the web.
4. Administration of membership data:
The entire membership administration, including control of incoming payments, can be carried out in the portal’s database.
In addition, members of the association can publish individual information and pictures on a separate page, quasi as their own “miniature homepage”.
Newsletter function: Most simply, you can send e-mails to your members with only one “click” – without any postal charges.
Legal information:
The owner and administrator of the portal is a democratically organized body composed of representatives from the participating homeopathic associations that also finance this project. Each newly-acceding association will become a joint owner.
